Nightly Signs

This nightly sign showed up just above the horizon in the sky beginning December. It was incredible amazing how the two stars and moon shined so close to each other, little time after the sun disappeared. It’s even possible to see a crater just at the sun-lit border of the moon.
In anticipation of the […]

Phishing or Legitimate?

Today I received the email shown below, which looked like a phishing attempt to me, since I don’t have an account at Moneybookers.com and the mail was sent typically to “undisclosed-recipients“. Hovering over the link in the mail revealed the URL https:// my.secure-ssl.net/www.moneybookers.com/app/directory.php?cmd=login (I deliberately broke the link).

My Own Street

I’m one of the lucky guys having my own street! My friend Wes just sent this image over to me after he discovered the street sign in his hometown. And having my own street has many advantages, believe me! I’m also one of the lucky ones who has his own street in the online virtual […]

And free software is a matter of liberty not price, they say. Yeah, they got it right!
So many times, […]

The Revolution - History - Part 2

During my youth and early adult life I happened to produce lots of music. Having played here and there in local bands and gigs, there was nothing like fulfilling my own ideas up to the last detail. By the age of 20 I had written already a bunch of songs and performed at some smaller […]

The Revolution - History - Part 1

At the age of about 14 I enjoyed hacking my first programs together on a Comodore 64, which belonged to a friend of mine. Sharing his bedroom for the night - and more important his computer - I tried to copy some example games I found in computer magazines into the C-64 and from there […]
